Our Lead Mediator - Sue Nelson, LL.B. M.A. 

Qualified as both a Barrister and as a Solicitor, Sue has been mediating since 1993.   Since 2012 Sue has helped hundreds of couples who have consulted her as a Mediator. Her work with family finance builds on her years of experience as a lawyer in high value litigation. 

Sue has a sharp analytical mind and is a creative, pragmatic problem solver.  She also ensures there is time to deal with the emotions that run alongside conflict.

Sue's clients warm to her caring style and appreciate her ability to be both patient yet make progress, even when things seem stuck. Encouraging clients to take the long view, seeing their way to brighter, less conflict ridden futures is part of her approach. Sue enjoys working alongside lawyers finding that the provision of legal advice to clients assists in finding good resolutions quickly.

For 6 years Sue held a non-executive board position in a business with a £130 million turnover. She has worked in top City of London law firms as well as with deprived clients facing life changing involvement with the law.  

Sue lives in Sussex, works part time to leave time for gardening, dog walking and reading.
